The quaint little town of Culver along Lake Maxinkuckee always put out the welcome mat for visitors with its array of restaurants, shops, and lodgings. As if that wasn’t enough, you can find loads of goodies to take home when you stop in at the Saturday Farmers Market. There’s local produce galore, with freshly picked fruits and vegetables, local pork products, preserves, fresh herbs and flowers, honey and sorghum. Crafters display their stained glass and other creations for you to browse and buy.

The vendors here raise their own vegetables, fruits, pork, bison, beef and eggs, plus herbs to season it all. Rentown Country Stores
Delights await visitors and residents to a small shop for a host of goods, affectionately known as “The Cheese King of the Midwest.” Cheese in abundance, with over 80 variates, along with deli meats, a wide variety of bulk foods, including homemade noodles, candies and granola. You’ll love the scrumptious baked goods – breads, cakes, pies, and 10 types of cookies. One must stop by the store’s Snack Den which serves breakfast and lunch. Hours are Monday – Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday from 8am to 5pm.
